CHESTER —University Technology Park announces they have signed a multi-year lease with GIV Venture Partners for space in their new Office Suites located at 1350 Edgmont Avenue.
GIV Venture Partners was founded in 1999 by leading global entrepreneurs and investors. The founders of GIV have started five companies, four of which reached
successful IPO’s, creating an aggregate $3 billion in market value. The fund
has a strong, leanly staffed team that has domestic and international venture experience. The current fund invests in the Mid-Atlantic region with a focus on rapidly growing, privately held businesses in the technology, healthcare and services sectors.
In 1999, Crozer-Keystone Health System and Widener University began a Public & Private Partnership for Economic Development in the City of Chester by creating University Technology Park. The technology park also manages the Commonwealth’s Keystone Innovation Zone program and is home to the Widener Small Business Development Center.
The Delaware County KIZ was established with Villanova and Widener as the host institutions of higher education for the Delaware County KIZ, a state-designated area for encouragement of innovative thinking, creativity and technology transfer through strong local partnerships and resources. The Delaware County KIZ assists local entrepreneurs, start-up companies, and progressive businesses with implementing an innovative idea from start to finish.
In addition to GIV, the technology park is also home to NAVMAR Applied Sciences, V System Composites, Educational Directories Unlimited, Rydal Research & Development, RL Associates, Brandywine Optics, Penn State SEA Grant, and Internet Carbon.
