GARNET VALLEY, Pa.—(BUSINESS WIRE )—Critical Path Services, LLC (CPS), is combining its two laboratories into a single, larger unit at its headquarters in Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania. The consolidation is a precursor to planned expansion within an approved Delaware County Keystone Innovation Zone. “We’ve been riding a steep growth curve for the last few years,” says CEO, Julie Eble, Ph.D., “and our research plans are ambitious. This move will position us to keep our focus on quality while we add new capabilities and capacity.”
Connell Cunningham, laboratory manager, elaborated further, “Combining the two labs increases collaboration among the research scientists and lab technicians; this will simplify training and yield efficiency gains. We’re very excited about these gains as they are allowing us to build other analytical and biotechnology capabilities, such as quantitative proteomics.”
The CPS analytical laboratory is GLP-compliant and fully equipped for trace-level analysis with high-performance triple-quadrupole LC-MS/MS, LC/UV, and ELISA instrumentation. CPS has enlarged its staff to a total of 60 to meet its work-load and is currently hiring to staff additional research projects. With ample space for expansion at Garnet Plaza, CPS has also invested in an Accelerated Solvent Extractor for sample preparation and will finalize a purchase of a GC-MS this summer.
